    The Zotob worm blame game
While it doesn't take much to get pro- and anti-Microsoft camps throwing online jabs at one another, the friction was only fueled this week by a worm attacking the Windows 2000 operating system .
My Acne Recourses site, covers Acne Recourses related stuff.

Wow, four spam comments...I feel special.

Ms. Boinkette, if you tire of the spam check out Driftglass, who is posting about how to fight the stuff. As for Rumsfeld, even psychopaths need love. The Onion at its disgusting best.

You can start by going to settings and then the comments tab.
Then you can disallow anon commenting, and also enable word verification.

I switched to haloscan and that seemed to help, too.

Someone else suggesting disallowing anonymous comments, but the only options are allowing everyone to comment or allowing only registered users to comment, and I don't want to do the latter because then people who have blogs on other sites couldn't comment. Plus, I have some friends who don't have websites who like to comment on my blog occasionally, and I don't want to keep them from doing that.

I did just enable word verification, though, and hopefully that will help.

I am thinking about HaloScan--what happens to your old comments when you switch? Do they automatically turn over to HaloScan, or do they stay tyhe old way?

Spam, schpam. Damn the spam, full speed ahead.

    Welcome back, BTW.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one when I saw it on The Onion yesterday. Oddly enough, I almost linked to another Onion story in my blog, the brilliant one about the "Intelligent Falling" theory as opposed to gravity.

It's a sad day when the best news, both on print andf on TV, is fake.

Boinkette, disabling anonymous comments doesn't help with the spam. I get spam too, as valid Blogger users. Said users don't last long before Blogger bloggers them, but once is all it takes...

All the spam I've gotten so far was from anonymous users, but I didn't want to disable anonymous/non-Blogger comments, so all I did was require word verification, and since then I haven't gotten any spam. Whether or not a spamming program is registered with Blogger, it can't type in the words it sees in a picture, and that's why word verification works so well. Maybe you should try it too.
